Various activities that support community education include community clean ups, visiting
boy scout meetings, and presenting to schools the proper methods of disposing waste. In
addition, employees participate in community service and volunteer programs held throughout

In the spirit of giving for the holiday season, American Disposal Services decided to reach out to the local Prince William County community. Every year, Volunteer Prince William hosts a program called 'Un-Trim-A-Tree.' The program reaches out to local businesses, churches, clubs etc. to help serve children and seniors in the community. Participants are asked to 'adopt' children and provide two gifts per child. Senior gifts are also requested by the Volunteer Prince William organization in the form of baskets. These include items such as puzzles, card games and little treats.
This is the first year that American Disposal Services has been involved in the program, and with the success of our first year, doesn't prove to be the last. American Disposal Services was able to 'adopt' two different families with 5 children in each family. With holiday spirit in the air, office employees gathered 20 gifts for the children as well as items to fill 7 baskets for seniors. As a means of good cheer, American Disposal Services matched the value of the gifts gathered by employees and donated an additional $500.00 to the Un-Trim-A-Tree program.

Thank you to all of our customers and sponsors who attended American Disposal Services 5th Annual Customer Appreciation Classic! We were very excited to be playing at the beautiful, Country Club of Fairfax. All proceeds raised by our annual golf event will benefit the American Cancer Society, a charity that has been close to our company for several years. This year, American is proud to announce that we raised an estimated $3,000 for the American Cancer Society.
